It is like with a small child. You point at something and say: "That is a cat." One day the child spots the cat alone.
How Labelling Works

Collect pictures
First you collect thousands of pictures. They have to show what the AI should learn.

Label
People draw boxes around the things. Then they write what it is. Car, person or tree, for example.

Train
The AI looks at all these pictures. That way it learns the patterns of each thing.

Check
At the end we test it with brand new pictures. Does it get the things right there too?
